The Ministry of Labour of the Dominican Republic has issued a communiqué announcing that, as per the current public holidays legislation, Monday, November 9, 2020, would be the date of the official annual non-working public holiday in the Dominican Republic on account of the upcoming Día de la Constitución non-working public holiday of the Dominican Republic ("el próximo viernes 06 de noviembre “Día de la Constitución”, se trabajará y se cambia el feriado para el lunes 09 del mismo mes. La clase trabajadora debe reintegrarse a sus labores cotidianas el martes 10 de noviembre, según lo establece la Ley 139-97, atendiendo a la aplicación de los días feriados.").

The aforementioned announcement that Monday, November 9, 2020, would be the date of the Constitution Day public holiday in the Dominican Republic, is in line with last autumn's official listing of public holidays in the Dominican Republic for the year 2020 (2019-11-10), and the current public holidays legislation of the Dominican Republic (1997-06-19), namely law 139-97, though official reminders from the Ministry of Labour of the Dominican Republic are a staple of news in the Dominican Republic (2020-06-08, 2020-03-10, 2020-01-17, 2020-01-02, 2019-11-01, 2019-09-19, 2019-08-13, 2019-04-25, 2018-11-02, 2018-08-13, 2018-05-28, 2018-02-24, 2018-01-26, 2018-01-20, 2017-11-02, 2017-09-22, 2017-04-10, 2017-01-26, 2017-01-16, 2017-01-05).
