Egypt’s Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan, has announced that Thursday, October 29, 2020, as a public holiday for the private sector of Egypt, on account of the upcoming Moulid al-Nabi, Prophet Mohamed’s birthday ("Thursday 29 October will be a paid day off for workers in the private sector on the occasion of Moulid El-Nabi, or the Prophet Muhammad's birthday").

Recall that, last week (2020-10-23), Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouli, had issued a decree declaring Thursday, October 29, 2020, as an official public holiday in Egypt, on account of the upcoming Moulid al-Nabi (Prophet Mohamed’s birthday), for civil servants and workers in all state-run companies and the public business sector.

Both aforementioned announcements of Thursday, October 29, 2020, as public holiday in Egypt, on account of the upcoming Moulid al-Nabi (Prophet Mohamed’s birthday), are in line with the annual list of 2020 bank holidays in Egypt, released earlier this year (2020-01-13).
