The Government of India's state of Gujarat has announced its annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Gujarat for the upcoming calendar year 2021 in the Government of Gujarat Government Order No. GS/33/2020/PHD/102020/500/GH, signed by Jwalant Trivedi, the Additional Secretary to Government, by order and in the name of Governor of Gujarat ("The Government of Gujarat is pleased to declare the following days to be Public Holidays for State Government Offices during the year 2021.").
As per custom (2019-10-20, 2018-11-07, 2017-10-19 and 2016-12-14), the aforementioned notification of the annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Gujarat for the upcoming calendar year 2021, are contained in 3 documents: the days to be Public Holidays for State Government Offices during the year 2021, including The following days have not been notified as General Holidays as they fall on Sunday (4 of them in 2021, as was the case in 2020), in addition to those notified as "days to be Public Holidays for banks in Gujarat during the year 2021" but with the exclusion of "The following days have not been notified as Holiday for banks as they fall on 4th Saturday and Sundays.".
The aforementioned Government of Gujarat Government Order No. GS/33/2020/PHD/102020/500/GH listing the 2021 public holidays in Gujarat also contain the usual mention that "If any of the Muslim Holidays notified above docs not fall on the day notified, the Muslim Employees of the Government may be granted an optional holiday on the day on which the holiday is actually observed.".
