The Government of India's state of Haryana has issued the Notification No. 28/01/2006-3GSII declaring Tuesday, December 15, 2020, as a one-off non-working public holiday on account of that day's Panchayat by-elections ("It is hereby informed that Tuesday, the 15th of December, 2020 has been fixed by the State Election Commission Haryana as day of Poll for Bye-elections of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Nissing (Gramin), Block Nissing, District Kamal. Therefore, it has been decided by the Government that Tuesday, the 15th of December, 2020, shall be observed as a public holiday in the offices of all Departments / Boards / Corporations / Educational Institutions under the Haryana Government and in all the factories, commercial establishments, shops etc. falling within the jurisdiction of the Gram Panchayat Nissing (Gramin) Block Nissing, District Kamal to enable the employees of Government offices and various factories, commercial establishments etc. to cast their vote.").
The aforementioned notification of a public holiday in India's state of Haryana, on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, the date of upcoming by-elections, was also issued as separate letter announcement as signed by the Secretary to Government Haryana Labour Department, Pankaj Agarwal, in the notification No. Elec-2020/IR-II/PSCE/Ho1/13271, thus further amending (2019-12-05) the list of "the days which will be non-working public holidays" in India's state of Haryana for the calendar year 2020, as set out in the Haryana Government vide notification No.28/67 /2018-3GSII covering General Holidays, Restricted Holidays, and Holidays declared under N.I. Act, 1881, released late last year (2019-12-05).
