Jordan Electoral Public Holiday November 10

Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh, has announced that Tuesday, November 10, 2020, the date of the upcoming 19th Parliamentary Elections, had been declared a non-working public holiday in Jordan.

In line with recent clarifications as to the scope of public holidays in Jordan (2020-10-25 and ), the aforementioned announcement states that "the decision include all ministries, governmental institutions and the private sector".

The Jordanian Government regularly declares (2017-08-13, 2016-07-20, 2013-08-22, 2013-01-17, 2007-11-13, 2007-08-22 and 2007-07-16) the date of elections as one-off national public holiday throughout Jordan to enable as many people as possible to participate in the nationwide elections.

The Tuesday, November 10, 2020, public holiday on account of the upcoming 19th Parliamentary Elections thus amends the list of 2020 public holidays in Jordan, as released a year ago (2019-09-17).
