Kyrgyzstan January 8 Bridge Public Holiday Ruled-Out

Responding to media enquiries about the possible declaration of a bridge public holiday on Friday, January 8, 2021, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan responded that "In order to make the transfer of days off, we need to get the appropriate government decree. This year there was no such resolution.".
Recall that, earlier this month (2020-12-04), the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan announced the list of non-working public holidays in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2021, excluding the declaration of any bridge public holiday compensated by a nearby weekend working days ("It was decided to celebrate the new year 2021 without transferring weekends and holidays."), contrary to what was done in previous years (2019-12-16, 2019-10-15, 2018-12-21, 2018-12-06, 2017-12-04, 2017-12-01, 2016-12-14 and 2016-11-26).
