Kyrgyzstan Orozo Ait 2020 Public Holidays Extended

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan has announced the upcoming Orozo Ait (End of Ramadan) public holiday of Kyrgyzstan would be Sunday, May 24, 2020, and therefore that the following workday, Monday, May 25, 2020, had been declared a day in lieu public holiday in Kyrgyzstan ("Если мусульманские праздники Орозо айт и Курман айт, которые определяются по лунному календарю, выпадают на выходные, то следующий за ними рабочий день согласно Трудовому кодексу становится выходным").

The aforementioned announcement of Sunday and Monday, May 24-25, 2020, as public holidays, on the occasion of the upcoming Orozo Ait, is in line with the calendar of annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2020, announced late last year (2019-12-16) in a resolution signed by the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Muhammedkaly Abylgaziev, and yesterday's announcement by the Muslim Spiritual Administration of Kyrgyzstan, that the Orozo Ait, in Kyrgyzstan, would be celebrated on Sunday, May 24, 2020 (2020-05-18).
