Malaysia's Cabinet's and the Constitution and Government Relations Department of the Prime Minister's Office have jointly issued the annual official Federal Public Holidays Schedule 2021 and State Public Holiday Schedule 2021 containing the list of official national non-working public holidays in Malaysia for the calendar year 2021 as well as the state-specific regional non-working public holidays in Malaysia for the calendar year 2021.
As in recent years (2019-07-08, 2018-09-01, and 2017-08-01), the aforementioned "Jadual Hari Kelepasan Am Persekutuan 2021" (Federal Public Holidays Schedule 2021) re-confirms the 2009 Malaysian Cabinet decision to celebrate Hari Malaysia as a national public holiday (2009-10-19) and the recent changes to the date of the public holiday in Malaysia for the official birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Agong (2020-06-03, 2020-03-04, 2019-07-05, 2019-06-28 and 2019-05-31).
Both of the aforementioned announcements confirm the earlier publication (2020-01-24) by Malaysia's governmental Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia, aka. JAKIM) of its Islamic calendar for 2021 (corresponding to 1442-1443 AH) and related annual Islamic non-working public holidays in Malaysia.
