Maldives Extend July 2021 Public Holidays

Maldives President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has declared 2 one-off public holidays in the Maldives, in the summer of 2021, with the President’s Spokesperson, Ibrahim Hood, adding in his tweet that "changes to the official calendar are announced months in advance for the public’s convenience".

The official list of 2021 public holidays in the Maldives has not yet been released, but the 2 one-off public holidays announced (July 18 and 25, 2021) will link the 2021 Eid al-Adha and Independence Day public holidays with the preceding weekend, "resulting in a 12-day period of national holidays".
