Oman 2020 Eid al Adha Public Holidays Announced

Omani authorities have announced the dates of the upcoming Eid al Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) annual non-working public holidays for the private sector and the public sector ("His Majesty the Sultan also gave his Royal directives to extend Eid Al Adha holidays for public and private sectors till Thursday, the 16th of Dhul Hijjah 1441 AH, August the 6th, 2020, so that official duty in the two sectors resumes on Sunday the 19th of Dhul Hijjah 1441 AH, August the 9th, 2020").

The aforementioned announced period of non-working public holidays in Oman, for the upcoming Eid al Adha, is more in line with the past 5 year's (2019-08-05, 2018-08-13, 2017-08-28, 2016-09-04 and 2015-09-17), than more remote years when week long extensions of the Eid public sector holidays were common (2014-09-25, 2014-07-21, 2013-10-10, 2013-08-08, 2012-10-20, 2011-10-31, 2011-08-24, 2010-09-06 and 2009-09-17).
