The Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour (Matagaluega о Pisinisi, Alamanuia ma Leipa - MCIL), in a public notice signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Pttlotu Lупdоп Chu Liпg, has confirmed that "next Monday is a public holiday to mark Mother’s Day".
The aforementioned announcement advises the Samoan public sector and the private sector, as well, that "the day after Mother's day Sunday is to be treated as a public holiday", thus ruling-out any cancellation or postponement of the 2020 Mother’s Day public holiday of Samoa, due to the current state of emergency, remaining in line with the list of 2020-2023 public holidays in Samoa, as announced by the government of Samoa, late last year (2019-11-30).
