The Solomon Islands Minister for Home Affairs has declared that Wednesday, November 18, 2020, would be a one-off public holiday in the Solomon Islands on account of the upcoming elections in the Central Honiara and North East Guadalcanal constituencies.

The aforementioned declaration of Wednesday, November 18, 2020, as a regional non-working public holiday in the Solomon Islands, on account of the upcoming Central Honiara and North East Guadalcanal elections, thus amends the list of 2020 public holidays in the Solomon Islands, as released by the government of the Solomon Islands, late last year (2019-12-26).

The Solomon Islands have usually, but not always, declared one-off public holidays, on the occasion of past elections (2019-04-01, 2014-12-08, 2014-11-13, 2010-08-24, 2010-08-20, 2010-08-16, 2010-07-28).
