The South African Government Communication and Information System has released an amended version of its previously-released list of the dates of the annual non-working public holidays in South Africa for the calendar year 2021.

As we mentioned, earlier this month (2020-10-16), when we reported that the South African Government Communication and Information System had announced the list of 2021 public holidays in South Africa, that list did not include a day in lieu public holiday on Monday, December 27, 2021, to compensate the fact that the 2021 Day of Goodwill public holiday falls on a Sunday, despite the fact that it also mentioned that "the Public Holidays Act (Act No 36 of 1994) determines whenever any public holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday following on it shall be a public holiday".

Today's amended version of the list of 2021 public holidays, corrects that error.
