Sri Lanka's Minister of Public Administration, Horne Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government, Janaka Bandara Thennakoon, has published in the "Gazette of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka" (No. 2181/22), the official list of annual Sri Lankan public holidays for the upcoming calendar year 2021.

As usual, the aforementioned announcement ("By virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 04 of the Holidays Act, No. 29 of 1971, I, Janaka Bandara Thennakoon, Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government, do by this order determine that for the purpose of this Act, the days specified in the Schedule hereto shall be the Public and Bank Holidays for the year 2021.") does not list any bank holidays, as these are usually declared separately from public holidays and full Moon Poya days (2019-10-05, 2019-04-09, 2018-08-27, 2017-09-07, 2017-07-24, 2017-04-01, 2016-10-19, 2016-05-22, 2015-05-29, 2014-11-14, 2013-10-18, 2014-04-07, 2013-07-05, 2012-06-11, 2012-10-16, 2011-10-10, 2011-08-31, 2010-07-21, 2010-07-12 and 2009-07-06).

Today's annual Gazette publication (2019-06-10 and 2018-07-01) confirms all of the dates listed in the recently-released list of Sri Lankan Poya Days in 2021 (2020-06-09), which did not contain any oddities such as were present in the list of 2018 Poya Days (2017-07-25 and 2017-04-01) which listed the Vesak Full Moon Poya day in April, rather than in May (2016-03-27, 2015-03-16, 2014-04-07, 2013-04-12).
