The government of Timor Leste announced that it had granted municipal public sector holidays in Timor Leste's capital, Dili, on March 17 and 18, 2020, "so that everyone can participate in the clean-up and recovery actions of the damage caused by last Friday's floods".

The aforementioned declaration of March 17 and 18, 2020, as additional public sector holidays, is in addition to the previously-released list of non-working public holidays in Timor Leste for the calendar year 2020 (2019-12-21).

These 2 additional public sector holidays are limited to the nation's capital ("Tolerance days-off apply only in the municipality of Dili").
