The Minister of Public Service of Uganda has announced that the government of Uganda had declared Thursday, January 14, 2021, as a one-off non-working public holiday throughout Uganda on account of the upcoming General Election whose headline voting day will be on that date ("The general public is informed that Thursday 14th January 2021 will be observed as public holiday throughout Uganda’").
