The Government of Uzbekistan has announced that, as per the presidential decree of last autumn, listing the 2020 public holidays in Uzbekistan, the citizens of Uzbekistan would enjoy 3 consecutive non-working public holidays from Saturday to Monday, March 21-23, 2020, inclusively, for the annual public holiday of Navruz.
The aforementioned announcement, is in line with the presidential decree "On the establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the postponement of holidays in 2020" ("Об установлении дополнительных нерабочих дней в период празднования официальных дат и переносе выходных дней в 2020 году"), which listed all official public holidays in Uzbekistan for the then upcoming calendar year 2020, and was released late last year by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev (2019-11-15).
But, since 2018, these are now announced in advance near the beginning of the year (2019-11-15, 2018-11-14 and 2017-12-28).
