The Council of Ministers of Belarus has approved the previously-announced Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated October 11, 2021 No. 572 which expanded and formalized the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Belarus during the calendar year 2022.

A couple of months ago (2021-10-11), the government of Belarus had issued the Постановление Совета Министров Республики Беларусь от 11 октября 2021 г. № 572 proposing the list of annual and one-off public holidays in Belarus for the calendar year 2022, without the announcement of an earlier draft as was the case in past years (2018-12-18, 2018-12-12, 2017-10-30, 2015-11-25 and 2015-11-13) but not all (2020-11-09, 2019-10-09 and 2016-11-10).

The Постановление № 572 lists one-off bridge and day in lieu public holidays in Belarus for 2022, before the beginning of the year, rather than on a case-by-case basis as was the case in previous years (2012-06-03, 2012-04-09, 2012-03-01, and 2011-12-29).

Last-minute changes to the list of 2022 public holidays in Belarus are always possible (2019-12-19, 2019-12-18, 2019-12-09, 2019-11-27, 2014-12-17), though there were none, so far, in 2021.
