Bermuda Gazettes 2021-2022-2023 Public Holidays

The government of Bermuda, has published the Public Notification GN0049/2021 serving notice of the Bermuda public holidays in 2021, as well as the Public Notification GN0050/2021 serving notice of the Bermuda public holidays for the calendar years 2022 and 2023.

The Public Notification GN0049/2021 makes the following remarks pertaining to 2021 public holidays in Bermuda:

"As Christmas Day falls on a Saturday, by virtue of the Public Holidays Act 1947 Monday, 27th December will be kept as a public holiday".
"As Boxing Day falls on a Sunday, Tuesday, 28th December, by virtue of the Public Holidays Act 1947, will be kept as a public holiday".

For its part, the Public Notification GN0050/2021 has the following footnotes for 2022:

"As New Year’s Day falls on a Saturday, by virtue of the Public Holiday Act 1947 Monday, 3rd January will be kept as a public holiday".
"As Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, by virtue of the Public Holidays Act 1947 Monday, 26th December will be kept as a public holiday".
"Boxing Day will be observed on 27th December".

While the list of 2023 Bermuda public holidays list of the same Public Notification GN0050/2021 contains the following precisions:

"As New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday, by virtue of the Public Holidays Act 1947 Monday, 2nd January will be kept as a public holiday".
"As Remembrance Day falls on a Saturday, by virtue of the Public Holidays Act 1947 Monday, 13th November will be kept as a public holiday".

The aforementioned public notifications officialize the current version of the previously announced, and sometimes amended, dates of 2021-2022-2023 Bermuda public holidays (2020-12-31, 2020-01-05, 2016-10-31).
