Cambodia's Prime Minister, Samdeeh Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, has signed the Sub-decree on Holiday Calendar for Civil Servants, Workers/Employees for 2022 (Prakas No. 145 OrNKr.BK), establishing Cambodia's annual list of official non-working public holidays for the upcoming calendar year 2022.
Once again (2020-11-05), the aforementioned decree no longer mentions the effect of Cambodian public holidays falling on a weekend day, but rather reflects the major changes to Cambodian public holidays enacted 2 years ago (2019-08-09).
The lack of mention that a holiday falling on a Sunday would be compensated on the following work day, did not mean anything in last year's announcement, as none of the 2021 public holidays fall on a Sunday. However, in 2022, there are a few public holidays overlapping with the weekend.
