Costa Rica Moves Labour Day Public Holiday To May 3rd

A spokesperson for Costa Rica's Minister of Labour and Social Security (MTSS), Geovanny Diaz, has announced that the upcoming May 1st Labour Day public holiday would be moved to Monday, May 3rd, 2021.
The aforementioned announcement of the Labour Day public holiday being held on May 3rd, this year, is in line with last year's passage of amendments to the labour code of Costa Rica (paragraph 185 of Law No. 9875), whereby many of the 2020-2024 Costa Rican public holidays were moved to adjoin a nearby weekend (2020-07-18, 2020-07-02, 2020-06-17, 2020-06-02, 2020-05-07 and 2020-04-22).
