The Ministry of Labour of the Dominican Republic has issued a communiqué confirming that, as per the current public holidays legislation of the Dominican Republic, Thursday, June 3, 2021, would be an official non-working public holiday in the Dominican Republic on account of the upcoming Día Corpus Christi annual immovable non-working public holiday ("La fecha en la que se celebra la festividad religiosa, este jueves 3, no se cambia atendiendo al cumplimiento de la Ley 139-97 que establece la aplicación de los días feriados").

The aforementioned announcement that Thursday, June 3, 2021, would be an official non-working public holiday in the Dominican Republic, is in line with last fall's official listing of public holidays in the Dominican Republic for the year 2021 (2020-11-20), and the current public holidays legislation of the Dominican Republic, namely law 139-97 (1997-06-19).

The statement by the Ministry of Labour does go on to state that the day after Thursday, June 3, 2021, would be a regular working day ("el viernes 4 de junio, posterior a la celebración de Corpus Christi, se trabaja").
