The Bank of Greece, Greece's Central Bank, has issued a communiqué amending the previously-released list of 2021 bank holidays in Greece, by moving this year's annual May 1st bank holiday to Tuesday, May 4, 2021, as was done on some previous occasions in the past.
The aforementioned announcement that this year's annual May 1st bank holiday would be moved to Tuesday, May 4, 2021, thus amends the list of official Greek bank holidays for the calendar year 2021, as announced last summer (2020-06-28) and already amended by the Greek government, earlier this month (2021-04-14).
Five years ago the Bank of Greece and the Greek Government had similarly moved the annual May 1st bank holiday and Greek non-working public holiday to Tuesday, May 3, 2016 (2016-03-29).
Three years before that, the May 1st Greek public holiday had been moved to Tuesday, May 7, 2013 (2013-04-24 and 2013-04-23).
