Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, has announced that Jordan would observe a public holiday on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, on account of the Hashemite Kingdom's 75 years of independence.

Today's declaration of Tuesday, May 25, 2021, on account of the Kingdom's 75 years of independence, is in line with the list of official non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2021, as released last autumn (2020-10-30).

Some annual fixed-date Jordanian public holidays are often moved to adjoin a weekend, when they occur in mid-week (2019-04-25, 2019-04-24, 2018-04-22, 2017-04-26, 2015-04-22, 2013-04-19, 2013-01-17, 2012-04-24 and 2006-04-25), though not systematically (2016-05-13, 2016-04-26, 2010-04-27 and 2005-04-25), and almost never for Independence Day.
