Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, has announced that Jordan would observe a public holiday in Jordan on Saturday, May 1st, 2021, on account of International Labor Day, a day on which "all ministries, official departments and public institutions will observe a public holiday".
Today's declaration of Saturday, May 1st, 2021, as a public holiday on account of International Labor Day, in in line with the list of official non-working public holidays and bank holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2021, as released last autumn (2020-10-08), and is in addition to the recent declaration of three Easter-related public holidays limited to Christians (2021-04-20).
