The Government of India's state of Kerala has announced that last year's decision to declare all Saturdays as public holidays in Keral government offices, had been rescinded and that, beginning on January 16, 2021, all Saturdays, except the second Saturday of the month, would be working days for Kerala government offices.

The list of Kerala government holidays for the calendar year 2021 is included in the Government of Kerala Government Orders G.O. (P) No.15/2020/GAD. ("Public Holidays Under Negotiable Instruments Act in Kerala for the Calendar year 2021") and G.O. (P) No.16/2020/GAD. ("Public Holidays to the Public Offices under the Government of Kerala during the Calendar year 2021"), as released last autumn (2020-11-01).
