The Government of Meghalaya, General Administration Department, has declared public sector holidays on December 28, 29 and 31, 2021, for "all State Government offices and all Revenue and Magisterial Courts in Meghalaya".

The aforementioned announcement goes on to clarify that "in compensation, all such Offices and Courts will remain open on the 12th, 19th and 26th (Saturdays) of March, 2022".

The aforementioned declaration of public sector holidays on December 28, 29 and 31, 2021, thus further amends (2021-10-19) the list of 2021 Meghalaya public holidays and bank holidays as set out in Annexure 2 (No.GAA. Note that Meghalaya already observes public holidays from December 24 to 27, 2021, as well as on December 30, 2021, for the annual U Kiang Nangbah Day public holiday.
