The ministère des Habous et des Affaires islamiques of the government of Morocco has announced that the upcoming Aïd Al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays of Morocco would begin on Thursday, May 13, 2021 ("le ministère a procédé à l’observation, après la prière d’Al Maghrib, mercredi 29 Ramadan 1442 H, correspondant au 12 mai 2021, et a confirmé l’observation du croissant lunaire annonçant le début du mois de Chaoual 1442 H").

The aforementioned announcement of Thursday, May 13, 2021, as the dates of the upcoming public holiday for the first day of the upcoming Aïd Al Fitr (End of Ramadan), is in line with the official list of 2021 non-working public holidays in Morocco, as released, at the beginning of this year (2020-12-22).

Two years ago (2019-06-03), but not last year (2020-05-23), the government of Morocco had extended the 2019 Aïd Al Fitr public holidays by a third day, Friday, June 7, 2019, which had been declared a one-off non-working public holiday for Government workers and the public sector of Morocco.
