The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the government of Myanmar has announced its annual list of the dates of the official Myanmar bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the upcoming calendar year 2022, taking into account last year's amendments to the rules governing the public holidays on Myanmar.

The salient points of the list of 2022 Myanmar public holidays are the dates of the full Moon non-working public holidays, the extension, or not, of the Burmese New Year public holidays, and the always oddly occurring Kayin New Year public holiday, as usual (2020-07-31, 2019-12-29, 2018-11-19, 2017-11-30, 2016-11-20, 2015-11-13, 2014-11-03, 2013-11-01, 2012-12-18, 2011-10-19, and 2010-09-21).

The aforementioned list of the dates of the official Myanmar annual bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the upcoming calendar year 2022 includes the cumulative effects of many recent ad hoc public holidays decisions by the government of Myanmar (2019-10-20, 2019-08-31, 2019-08-21, 2017-03-14 and 2017-03-10), but does also include some oddities.

We may yet see a revised list of 2022 Myanmar public holidays, in the next couple of months.
