Nepal Declares Gaijatra and Krishna Janmashtami Public Holidays

Nepali Government Spokesperson and Law Minister, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, has announced that Nepal's cabinet had declared a public holiday throughout the country, on Monday, August 30, 2021, on account of the upcoming Krishna Janmashtami which celebrates the birthday of Lord Krishna.
The aforementioned announcement also indicated that a public holiday had been declared in the Kathmandu Valley, and for the Newar community across the country, on account of the upcoming Gaijatra on Monday, August 23, 2021.
