Nepal Province 2 Declares Chhath Public Holiday

The Government of the Province 2 of Nepal, has announced that it had declared Thursday, November 11, 2021, as an additional public holiday on the occasion of Chhath festival.

Recall that, last year (2020-11-19), the Chief Minister of the government of Nepal's Province-2, Lalbabu Raut, declared Saturday, November 21, 2020, as a second Chhath public holiday ("Friday and Saturday have been declared public holidays this year for Chhath celebrations").

Such regional public holidays (2021-09-26, 2021-07-15, 2021-06-28, 2021-06-26, 2021-04-23, 2021-04-20, 2021-01-17 and 2020-11-19) were not included in last spring's (2021-04-02) gazetted list of official non-working public holidays in Nepal for the Nepalese year 2078 (April 2021-April 2022).
