Nicaragua Public Holidays October 30 To November 2

Nicaraguan Vice President, Rosario Murillo, has announced 4 days of public sector holidays ahead of the November 7 general election ("The great news is that we are going to have a long weekend, we are going to leave work on Friday (October 29) and we are going to return on Wednesday (November 3), so that the families can meet up").

In some previous years (2019-10-29, 2018-10-29, 2016-10-24, 2015-10-22, 2012-10-31, 2010-10-27 and 2009-10-31), a half-day, November 1st, public holiday was declared but limited to the public sector.

Last year (2020-10-26), Nicaraguan Vice-President had similarly declared a public holiday in Nicaragua on Monday, November 2, 2020 ("El comunicado propuesto por la Ministra del Trabajo y que el Comandante Daniel ha autorizado indica que todos los empleados públicos del país de conformidad a lo establecido en el artículo 66 del código del trabajo gocen de asueto a cuenta de vacaciones el día lunes 2 de noviembre de este año").
