The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has declared a bank holiday throughout Pakistan on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, on the occasion of the annual Prophet's Birthday Pakistani bank holiday.
The declaration of a bank holiday on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday, reads "The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 (i.e. 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, 1443 A.H.) on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa-Sallam" and follows last week's announcement by the Interior Ministry of the federal government of Pakistan (2021-10-08).
Today's announcement by the State Bank of Pakistan is in line with the list of 2021 public holidays in Pakistan, as announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2021" published by the Government of Pakistan late last year (2020-12-10), and later amended (2021-05-03).
