The Government of Tanzania, has moved the date of the burial of former President John Magufuli, from March 25 to March 26, a date which is also a public holiday.

Recall that, earlier this week (2021-03-19), President Samia Suluhu Hassan, had announced that Monday, March 22, 2021, and Thursday, March 25, 2021, would be public holidays in Tanzania, to mourn the death of President John Magufuli, and then on the day of President Magufuli's funeral.

The public holidays on Monday, March 22, 2021, and Friday, March 26, 2021, are in addition to the list of official non-working public holidays dates in Tanzania for the calendar year 2021, released late last year (2020-12-19).
