The Chief Minister of the government of the Indian State of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao, has declared a public holiday on September 28, 2021, for all government offices, private institutions, schools and all educational institutions, "due to incessant rains and imminent forecast of heavy rains" under the impact of Cyclone Gulab.
The declaration of a public holiday on September 28, 2021, is contained in the Government of Telangana vide Government order GO. Rt. No.2191, which states that "The Government hereby declare holiday on 28th September, 2021 to all Government Offices, private institutions. Schools and all educational institutions due to incessant rains and imminent forecast of heavy rains in Telangana State because of Gulab Cyclone.".
This public holiday on September 28, 2021, further amends (2021-08-17, 2021-04-07, 2021-03-05, 2021-01-11 and 2020-12-14) the list of 2021 public holidays in Telangana, initially announced in the Notification "HOLIDAYS- General Holidays and Optional Holidays for the year 2021 – Notified." (G.O.Rt.No.1756 dated 09.11.2020), last autumn (2020-11-10).
