The Public Service Permanent Secretary of the Government of Uganda, Catherine Bitarakwate Musingwiire, has announced that Tuesday, July 20, 2021, had been declared as the date of the upcoming Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) annual non-working public holiday of Uganda.
Miister Bitarakwate's statement, contained in a letter addressed to the Minister of Information, Communication Technology and National Guidance, Amina Zawedde, to be passed on to the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation Network, reads as follows: "This is to request you to relay the following announcement from the Minister of Public Service on Uganda Broadcasting Corporation Network" and then "The Honorable Minister of Public Service informs the general public that Tuesday 20th July 2021 is Eid Adhuha and will be observed as a Public Holiday throughout Uganda".
