The Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt has published the list of Egyptian national public holidays for the calendar year 2022.

However, the aforementioned list of 2022 public holidays, as released by the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt, does not move any of these public holidays to a nearby Thursday.

Since the summer of 2020, the Government of Egypt moves fixed-date mid-week public holidays to the following Thursday "to give citizens a chance to have a long weekend" (2020-06-28).

The change took effect in the autumn of 2020 (2020-10-05 and 2020-10-01), has been applied since then on each occasion (2021-10-03, 2021-08-05, 2021-06-26, 2021-04-28, 2021-04-22, 2021-01-21 and 2021-01-20), excluding the public holidays for Christmas, Eid Al-Fitr, and Eid Al-Adha.

So, we can expect either a revision of the list of 2022 public holidays released by the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt, or a string of individual last-minute announcements that an upcoming public holiday will be moved to a nearby Thursday.
