The government of Moldova has published the "Draft Government Decision on the transfer of a day off in 2022", signed by Prime Minister, Natalia Gavrilița, which would declare Monday, March 7, 2022, as a one-off public holiday to bridge the one-day gap between the weekend and the March 8 annual public holiday of Moldova.

Last night's publication of a draft decree on the declaration of Monday, March 7, 2022, as a one-off public holiday in Moldova, had been announced by Moldova's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Marcel Spatari, late last year (2021-12-30).

If approved, the public holiday of Monday, March 7, 2022, compensated by the declaration of Saturday, March 12, 2022, as a regular working day, would be in addition to the list of 2022 annual public holidays on Moldova (2021-12-23).

Bridge public holidays have often been declared around the March 8 annual public holiday; in 2018 (2018-01-24), in 2016 (2016-03-01), in 2012 (2012-02-22), and in 2011 (2011-02-18).

Though digitally signed yesterday, January 26, at 14:31, the deadline for comments is January 28, 2022.
