Punjab Declares April 14 Triple Public Holiday

The Government of the Indian State of Punjab has declared that April 14, 2022, marking the 3 separate holidays of Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi and the Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, had been declared a holiday under the interpretation of the Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act-1881.

The 3 aforementioned April 14, 2022, public holidays had already been listed as gazetted holidays in the previously-released annual list of "the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Punjab for the upcoming calendar year 2022", contained in the Punjab Government Order 06/01/2021/2PP3/1372 issued by the Government of Punjab late last year (2021-12-10).
