The Government of Rwanda has released its annual list of official non-working public holidays in Rwanda for the calendar year 2022.

The aforementioned announcement of the 2022 public holidays in Rwanda is based on the "Presidential Order N° 54/01 of 24/02/2017 Determining Official Public Holidays" (2017-02-26), as published in the in the Official Gazette 2017-03-13, n°11, pp. 23-28 (2017-03-14), as was the case in recent years (2021-02-21, 2020-01-08, 2019-01-04 and 2018-01-02).

Previously (2017-01-03, 2015-11-01, 2015-01-26, 2014-03-26, 2013-01-07 and 2012-01-11), the annual list of public holidays in Rwanda had been governed by the "Arrêté Presidentiel N°06/01 Du 16/02/2011 Determinant Les Jours Feries Officiels" (2011-03-07) and later by the "Presidential Order N°42/03 Of 30/06/2015 Determining Official Holidays", as published in the in the Journal officiel, 2015-06-30, Numéro spécial bis, pp. 11-16 (2015-07-01 and 2015-05-18).

Note that the list of 2022 public holidays, as released by the Government of Rwanda, contains a few errors in the dates of the 2022 dates of Easter and Muslim public holidays. We can probably expect a corrigendum in the next few weeks.
