The Government of Rwanda has released a further updated list of official public holidays for the calendar year 2022, with the annual Eid El Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday being moved to Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday, May 3, 2022, as a non-working public holiday throughout Rwanda, thus amends the list of official non-working public holidays in Rwanda for the calendar year 2022 as released by the Rwandan government, at the beginning of this year (2022-01-05).

As per the "Arrêté Presidentiel N°06/01 Du 16/02/2011 Determinant Les Jours Feries Officiels" (2011-03-07) and the "Presidential Order N°42/03 Of 30/06/2015 Determining Official Holidays" (2015-07-01 and 2015-05-18), the date of the annual Eid el-Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holiday will be set by the Moslems' Association of Rwanda ("Itariki itangazwa buri mwaka na Rwanda Moslems' Association").
