Thailand's government spokesman, Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, has announced that, at today's meeting, the Thai Cabinet decided not to extend the upcoming Songkran public holidays.
Last summer, the Thai Cabinet had approved the list of 2022 public holidays in Thailand (2021-08-06) and, in the autumn, it added one-off public holidays "to stimulate tourism".
Recall that, in 2021, the Thai Cabinet had declared Monday, April 12, 2021, as a special public holiday, to extend the 2021 Songkran for 6 consecutive days (2021-03-11).
