The Government of India's state of Uttarakhand has published the vide press note No.1188/29/2022, which declares Tuesday, May 31, 2022, as a paid public holiday in the Champawat district, on account of the Legislative Assembly bye-election being held on that date.
The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday, May 31, 2022, as a paid public holiday in Uttarakhand, applies to "all industrial establishments, factories, governing and non-governing bodies, educational institutions, and commercial establishments in Champawat district".
This one-off public holiday thus further amends (2022-02-05) the list of public holidays in Uttarakhand for the calendar year 2022, as contained in the vide Notification No. 794/xxxi(15) G/21-74/2016, released late last year (2021-12-02).
