Zimbabwe Labour Day Public Holiday May 2nd

Source: The Herald (Harare)
Posted: Saturday, April 30, 2022

Zimbabwe's Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Aaron Nhepera, has announced a day in lieu public holiday on Monday, May 2, 2022 ("May 2 has been proclaimed a public holiday in recognition of Workers’ Day, which falls on a Sunday, allowing the holiday to be celebrated on Monday").

The aforementioned announcement that Monday, May 2, 2022, would be a day in lieu public holiday, is to be contracted to last year's announcement, by Zimbabwe's Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Ministry refuting the rumours that Monday, May 3rd, 2021, had been declared a one-off public holiday (2021-05-02), but is in line with the dates of the 2022 non-working public holidays in Zimbabwe, as announced last year (2021-04-30).
