Getting Help and Support in Q++Studio

Q++Studio comes with a detailed help system and tools to help you access the help topic you need. Depending on the circumstances you may want to use one or the other of the Q++Studio Help Tools.

If you want to ...	... then you can
Find out about new features	See the What's New? section of this document, or the corresponding version on the web.
Get additional information about something you see	Use the ToolTips or Contextual Help, to get help about a specific part of the Q++Studio interface (a dialog, a script line, a script line property, ...).
Browse the available topics	Use the table of contents at the left of this window.
Look for topics related to a keyword	Use the keyword search, to get a list of all the topics that relate conceptually to a keyword (such as "diary" or "help"), even if that keyword does not appear exactly in the topic (could be a synonym).
Look for a specific word	Use the full text search to find the topics that contain a specific word (not synonyms) which you think appears in the text of the help file.
If all else fails ...	Contact us directly.

Note that the Q++Studio documentation is constantly evolving to catch up with new features added to Q++Studio, and in response to users feedback. The online version of this documentation is accessible at https://www.qppstudio.net/webhelp_xv4/, and is always up-to-date.

Using AI Assistants with the Q++Studio Documentation

AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Claude are generally not able to reliably generate complete step-by-step solutions, as they cannot parse and understand QuarkXPress or InDesign documents.

However, AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Claude can greatly help you navigate the almost 3000 topics of the Q++Studio documentation and identify the relevant features, topics and terminology.

Beginning in the summer of 2026, we began what we call “reverse-training” of AI assistants on the Q++Studio documentation ("training" the documentation to work better with AI assistants). We ask the AI assistants questions for which we already know the answers and, when necessary, update, amend, or clarify the documentation so that it can be more easily navigated and understood by AI assistants. As this reverse-training progresses, we will continue to update the topic on using AI assistants with the Q++Studio documentation.
