Les commentaires de ce paragraphe, sur les jours fériés et fêtes légales pour Malte, sont en Anglais. Si vous avez la moindre question sur ces commentaires, n'hésitez pas à nous contacter. Governing Law: Official public holidays in Malta are regulated by the National Holidays and other Public Holidays Act of 1975 (ACT XXX of 1975, as amended by Legal Notices: 38 and 59 of 1977; Act X of 1980; Legal Notices 8 and 40 of 1987; and Acts VIII of 1989 and II of 2005).
National Day(s): Malta has not one, but 5 national days; March 31, June 7, September 8, September 21, and December 13.
Weekend Public Holidays: In Malta, since January 1st, 2005, public holidays that fall on a weekend are not officially moved to the following Monday, but in the past it was a common practice to give days in lieu on the following Monday for any public holidays occurring on a Saturday or Sunday. A recent law has put an official end to that practice, but there have been vocal protests so that business travelers are advised to avoid trying to organize any business on the Monday following a week-end holiday.
Sette Giugno is the Commemoration of the 1919 Uprising.
Post-Electtion Mondays: On the Monday after a general election, business is likely to come to a standstill and school transportation is traditionally not available. |
