At today's Bulgarian Government Cabinet session, it was decided to declare May 2 and May 3, 2002, as official public holidays, thus creating a 6-day public holiday stretching from May Day to St George's Day on May 6.
In similar recent cases (22-Nov-2001 and 21-Aug-2001) extra public holidays were compensated by the corresponding declaration of regular working days on one or more Saturdays. However, for the moment, no such announcement has beeen made.
