Earlier today, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (PGMA) signed and issued Proclamation No. 277, declaring Thursday, October 31, and Saturday, November 2, 2002, as one-off special non-working public holidays throughout the country.
The effects of this proclamation, similar to one last year (10-Oct-2001), combined with the annual, November 1st, All Saints' Day, means that the Philippines will get 4 consecutive days of public holidays.
