(Posted on Wednesday, June 7, 2006)

Law 25.370 was amended to make the, April 2, Malvinas Day (officially called "Día del veterano y los caídos en la Guerra de Malvinas") a non-moveable holiday, regardless of the weekday on which it occurs.

In 2000, the ley nacional 25.370/00 (Día del Veterano y de los Caídos en la Guerra en Malvinas) made April 2, an hitherto commemorative date, a full national public holiday (22-Nov-2000).

The newly declared (15-Mar-2006), "Día Nacional por la Memoria, la Verdad y la Justicia", March 25 public holiday was also made into a non-moveable public holiday.
