Earlier this week, Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza signed a decree, making April 6, the date of the assasination of President Ntaryamira, a public holiday in Burundi.
In addition, the 2 main Muslim holidays of Aid-El-Fithr (end of Ramadan) and Aid-El-Hadj (Feast of Sacrifice) are now official public holidays in Burundi (01-Nov-2005).
